Service through sales. That’s the heartbeat that sets us apart… makes us different. At Charis, we are about serving well. Above expectations and beyond the transaction. Bringing value to our clients beyond the sheer scope of a real estate transaction. “Charis” comes from the ancient Greek meaning “grace” and “that which affords joy.”
You may have noticed that Charis Realty Group has grown. We have added three additional branches in New Market, Cumberland, and Martinsburg. We have added dozens of agents. And by increasing our numbers we have increased our manpower. And by increasing our manpower, we have radically increased our ability to serve… not just our clients, but our community as well.
It has been a long-time vision of Christy Issler, Principal Broker, for Charis to have a presence in the local community in the way in which we serve. Serve those in need. Serve those that need a hand. Serve those who may never call on our services as Realtors… because we can. And we should. In the past Charis, has stepped in financially to fill the gap for organizations such as Faith House in Frederick. We’ve provided Christmas for struggling families for years through the Young Lives Group in West Virginia and Christmas Alive in Maryland. Charis has been keystone sponsors in events like Frederick’s “Planting Hope” (2015 and 2016) and the “Freedom 4/24 – Run for Their Lives Race” (2014). We have contributed both financially and actively to numerous smaller, yet incredibly significant, initiatives as well.
Charis’ acquisition of the Martinsburg office includes some folks that are an incredible blessing to our community. Jill Bevins, Branch Manager, has been recognized as the Eastern Panhandle Real Estate Boards “Humanitarian of the Year” for her work with the marginalized in the area as well as within the foster system and through her own non-profit. The speaker who introduced Jill became so overwhelmed listing her work in the community that she announced Jill as the “Humanitarian of the Year and quite possibly the decade!”
The #CharisCares Campaign is the vessel for this boots-on-the-ground effort. You’ll find Charis agents rolling up their sleeves and digging deep into serving our community. It’s the visible and tangible expression of our core values as a brokerage. It’s our heartbeat.
